Mission

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with NewAlpha’s Senior Partners and Portfolio Managers, you will be actively involved in sourcing and conducting due diligence on new funds across various strategies and geographies. Your role will encompass the full investment process, from identifying opportunities to assisting in portfolio construction and monitoring.

You will evaluate funds from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, aligning investments with institutional client needs. Given NewAlpha’s broad coverage, particularly in hedge funds, you will engage with a wide range of fund managers and strategies. Your responsibilities will include sourcing investment ideas, assessing viability, presenting findings to the Investment Committee, and supporting portfolio monitoring through reporting and quantitative analysis.

Quantitative skills will be essential, as you will conduct performance analysis, peer group comparisons, and database management while enhancing analytics tools—programming skills are highly preferred.

Additionally, you will contribute to investment research, preparing reports, monitoring funds, forecasting strategy performance, and analyzing industry trends. Frequent travel will be required for on-site due diligence.

This role offers deep exposure to alternative investments, working alongside leading asset managers and engaging with innovative investment strategies.

Profile

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Financial Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Passion for investing with a solid understanding of financial markets. Prior internship experience in market finance is preferred.
  • Quantitative knowledge—experience with programming is desirable.

·         Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French is an advantage.

·         Compulsory internship agreement required.
